There’s usually some confusion about their relationship to “Pages” as well, so I thought I’d mention that here, although I didn’t address it in the video below. Blog Page This is a static page that contains information that typically doesn’t change or cause people to interact. Common pages are “about me”, “contact us”, “home”, things like that. It’s long term information and the same information time after time when people click on it. Blog Categories: Categories are used to organize your content so your visitors can easily find a topic on a specific subject. When someone clicks on a category, they will see all the different blog posts, ideas, topics, throughts, training, inspiration etc. for that ONE subject matter. For example, if someone clicked on a “blogging” category, they may find 10 different posts on different information pieces surrounding blogging. And, to take that one step further, they may have found your “blogging” category as a subcategory under your “social media marketing” category. Can you see how everything is organized… somewhat like a file cabinet. That’s a good way to think about structuring your categories.
