Mary-Kyri
High-fashion women’s designer shoes and high-fashion women’s sneakers made entirely in Italy. Mary-Kyri shoes are not about a woman’s age, they are about the essence of what characterizes a woman.
Designed in Australia – Made in Italy – Presented With Love
The Mary-Kyri story began with her childhood fascination for high-heels shoes. As a girl she was obsessed with her mother’s collection and her passion grew into an addiction for designer label stilettos. “I love the way a pair of stilettos can change a woman’s demeanour and also elongate her physique,” she adds, “my shoes are made for elegant, sophisticated, passionate and flamboyant women, they are not about a woman’s age, they are what characterizes a woman…”
After receiving a diploma in Fashion Design, Clothing and Textiles at the Marleston Design Institute in South Australia in 2003, she took design roles within the fashion industry but kept her sights on footwear. In March 2006 her dream was realized with “Virago” her first collection released in Australia and New Zealand. She’s received kudos in top Australian and international fashion pubs: Vogue Australia, Grazia UK, Cosmopolitan UK, Collezioni Italia, Footwear News, WWD Ultimate Accessories Guide, InStyle Australia, Famous UK and Australia, Black and White, Curve and Who Weekly, and her shoes have been seen on Fergie, Kate Moss, Jade Jagger, Kim Kardashian, Pink, Cate Blanchett and Kylie Minogue.
Mary-Kyri. The story has only just begun.

Oscar de la Renta (born Oscar Aristides Renta Fiallo) moved to Spain at the age of 18 to pursue painting, but quickly found fashion. De la Renta’s talents receive continual international recognition. Among them, he received the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year Award in 2000 and in 2008 (tied with Proenza Schouler). In February 1990, he was honored with the CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award. From 1973 to 1976, and from 1986 to 1988, he served as President of the CFDA. He is also a two-time winner of the American Fashion Critic’s Award and was inducted into the Fame in 1973. In 1993 to 2002, Oscar de la Renta designed the haute couture collection for the house of Pierre Balmain, becoming the first Dominican to design for a French couture house. (Excerpt: Wikipedia)

Pedro Garcia

pedro garcia
description:
Zapateros. That’s pretty much how the folks at Pedro García define themselves. Shoemakers, in the
most traditional sense of the term…and the most avant-garde sense of the term. At the helm now is
the third generation of a family devoted to footwear. Today, the third Pedro and his sister, Mila, embody the latest generation.
Through it all, the brand’s design philosophy has been a catalyst. Pedro and Dale have taken the
García design to the realm of experimental luxury. A pair of Pedro Garcías constitutes a powerful
mélange explosif that takes contrasting materials and makes them coalesce, associating the unassociable,
creating hybrid models from opposing concepts, always looking one step beyond. Hence, research
is a key element for Pedro García. And all paths are valid, whether based on excess or minimalism.
Just as long as the end product is irrefutably impeccable, extreme high-end.
That distinguishing, unmistakable JNSQ of Pedro García designs is evident in certain models and
in the use of particular finishes and materials. They are PG classics. Models such as the flip-flops
with anatomic soles, Amanda and Anabel, which are celebrating their tenth anniversary; finishes such
as the lauded frayed satin, and of course the Swarovski creations, infinitely striking and brilliant.
